Total bliss at Asheville’s Cúrate

Cúrate, helmed by acclaimed Executive Chef Katie Button, has always held a special place in my heart. I’ve celebrated birthdays there and taken my most cherised friends there. I also dined there after I got engaged and most recently visited with my husband for my first anniversary. The Spanish tapas restaurant is amongst the best in all of North Carolina. Classic dishes to order include the berenjenas de la taberna (fried eggplant drizzled in local honey and sprinkled with rosemary) and butifarra con mongetes (mild pork sausage served with crispy white beans). And, I would be remiss not to mention the sublime desserts at Cúrate as well, including its espuma de chocolate (silky chocolate mousse served with raspberry sorbet and a hazelnut praline).
